Bumrah sets new record in Test rankings: No-1 with 907 rating points

Yashasvi achieved a career best ranking

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has become the first Indian to score 907 rating points in the ICC Test Bowling Rankings. The ICC released the rankings on Wednesday, in which he achieved this feat. Bumrah equaled Ravichandran Ashwin’s record with a rating of 904 last week. In December 2016, Ashwin got 904 rating points.

On the other hand, Yashasvi Jaiswal climbed one place in the ICC Men’s Test Batting Rankings to achieve a career-best ranking. It has reached number-4.

Bumrah tops the bowling rankings

Bumrah is the highest wicket-taker so far in the ongoing series against Australia. He has taken 30 wickets in four opening matches of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. His average has also been 12.83. He remains at the top of the Test rankings. Australia’s Josh Hazlewood (843) is currently second and Pat Cummins (837) is third.

Yashasvi Jaiswal leaves Travis Head behind

Indian opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored half-centuries in both innings in Melbourne, has reached the fourth position with 854 points. He surpassed Australia’s Travis Head. England’s Joe Root remains in first place. English all-rounder Harry Brook is at number two. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson remains at the third position.

Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 82 in the first innings of the Melbourne Test and 84 in the second innings.

Jadeja remains at the top in Test all-rounder rankings

Ravindra Jadeja tops the Test all-rounder rankings. Bangladesh’s Mehdi Hasan is second. Australian captain Pat Cummins has gained four places. He has reached the third position. Marco Jansen of South Africa is at number four.
