Women's Premier League to be played in Vadodara: BCCI has decided two venues for the finals, the first leg in Lucknow and the second in Vadodara; First match on 6 or 7 February

BCCI has finalized 2 venues for the third season of the Women's Premier League (WPL). All matches will be played between 5 teams in Baroda and Lucknow. The tournament may start from February 6 or 7. The second round of matches will be held in Baroda, including the qualifiers and the final.

The official schedule of the tournament is yet to be announced. However, the board has informed Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) and Baroda Cricket Association (BCA) to hold the match at their grounds. The official announcement of the program will be made in a few days.

In December 2024, three women's ODI matches were played between India and West Indies at the Kotambi Stadium in Baroda.

A women's international match was held in Baroda Baroda has the Kotambi Stadium, which was inaugurated only last month. A match was played between India and West Indies here. 3 ODIs were played here. The stadium has also hosted senior women's T-20 tournament and Ranji Trophy matches.

Flood lights have been installed in the stadium. The knockout matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy starting from January 9 will be held here, and the lights will also be tested.

23 matches will be played in WPL In the first two seasons of the WPL, 23-23 matches were played between 5 teams. This time too there will be only 23 matches, for which Lucknow's Ekana Stadium is the first option. Where 10 or 11 matches of the first phase will be played. The second phase matches will be played in Baroda.

The final of the tournament could be held on March 8 or 9. After which IPL will also start from March 14. The first season of WPL was held in Mumbai. While in the second season, Bengaluru and Delhi were made the venue. Bengaluru are the defending champions, while Mumbai won the title in the first season. Only Delhi was defeated in both the finals.

Royal Challengers Bangalore are the champions of WPL Season-2.
