Pant returns to top-10 batsmen in ICC Test rankings: Innings of 40 and 61 in Sydney, Bumrah tops bowlers

India's wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has returned to the top-10 batsmen in the ICC Test rankings. He has moved from 12th place to ninth place. Pant played innings of 40 and 61 runs in the Sydney Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT). This has improved its ranking.

The second opener of the Indian team in this list is Yashaswi Jaiswal, who remains at number four. Yashaswi has scored a century and 2 fifties in BGT.

Bumrah is at the first position in the top-10 ranking of bowlers. Spinner Ravindra Jadeja has moved from 10th position to ninth position. At number 10 is Australian fast bowler Scott Boland, who was previously at number 39.

Pant gained 3 places

In the Border-Gavaskar Trophy Sydney Test played against Australia, Rishabh scored the second fastest half-century in the second innings. He scored a half century in 29 balls. Pant played an innings of 61 runs. Due to which he has gained 3 places in his rank. Now it has 739 rating points.

South African Test captain Temba Bavuma has reached the all-time high rating. It has jumped 3 places in the ranking. He has now managed to reach number-6 with 769 rating points. It was under Bavuma's leadership that South Africa defeated Pakistan in two consecutive Test matches and booked their place in the final of the World Test Championship (WTC).

No change in top-5 There is no change in the top-5 in the ranking of the batters. England's Joe Root is still at No.1. Its rating is 895. England's Harry Brook is second. Its rating is 876. New Zealand's Kane Williamson is third with 867 points.

India's Yashaswi Jaiswal remains at number-4 with 847 points. While Australia's Travis Head is at number-5. Its rating is 772. Kamindu Mendis of Sri Lanka has jumped one place. It has now reached number-7 with 759 rating points. Australia's Steve Smith has lost one place. He came in at number eight. Daryl Mitchell of New Zealand remains at number 10 with 725 rating.

Bumrah top bowler, one place advantage over Jadeja

Fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah led Australia in 2 Test matches (Perth and Sydney).

Jasprit Bumrah, who became the player of the series by taking 32 wickets against Australia, is on the first place. He is at a career-best 908 rating. Australian captain Pat Cummins is second with 841 rating.

Australian fast bowler Scott Boland, who was the player of the match with 9 wickets in the Sydney Test, has jumped a record 29 places. He has now reached the tenth position. Indian left arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja has gained one place. He is at ninth position with 745 rating.

Jadeja remains at No. 1, England's total of 4 all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja tops the ICC Test all-rounder rankings. Its ranking is 400. Marco Jansen of South Africa has gained 2 places. Now he has reached the second position with 294 rating points. The last 4 positions are dominated by England's all-rounders. Former captain Joe Root is seventh, Gus Attinson eighth, Ben Stokes ninth and Chris Woakes tenth.
