Pakistan win Multan Test by 127 runs: West Indies 123 all out in second innings; Sajid Khan took 9 wickets in the match

Pakistan defeated West Indies by 127 runs in the first match of the 2-match Test series. It was a low scoring match on the spin friendly wicket of Multan. In reply to 251 runs on the third day on Sunday, the second innings of West Indies was wrapped up for 123 runs.

Sajid Khan, who became the player of the match, took a total of 9 wickets. 4 wickets were taken in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second innings. 6 Caribbean batters failed to touch double figures in the second innings.

Earlier, Pakistan's innings ended in 157 runs. With a lead of 93 runs in the first innings, the team gave West Indies a target of 251 runs. Jomel Warwick took 7 wickets for the team.

On the second day of the match, Pakistan managed to score 230 runs in their first innings. When the West Indies team was all out for 137 runs. In which spinner Noman Ali took 5 wickets from Pakistan. The second match of the series will be played in Multan from January 25.

Sajid took 5 wickets, Abrar 4 wickets In West Indies' second innings, the batsmen could not withstand the spinners. Alik Athanaz scored the highest 55 runs for the team. The Caribbean team could only play 36.3 overs in the innings. Sajid Khan took 5 wickets for 50 runs in 15 overs. Leg spinner Abrar Ahmed took 4 wickets. Noman Ali got 1 wicket.

Shakeel-Rizwan scored a fifty Pakistan started play on the second day with a score of 143/4. Saeed Shakeel led his innings with 56 and Mohammad Rizwan scored 51 runs. The duo put on a 141-run partnership to take the score close to 200. Shakeel got out after scoring 84 runs and Rizwan scored 71 runs.

After losing 5 wickets for 187 runs, Pakistan lost the next 5 wickets and scored 43 runs. For West Indies, spinner Jomel Warrican and fast bowler Jayden Seals took 3 wickets each. Kevin Sinclair got 2 wickets and Gudakesh Moti got 1 wicket. A batter was run out.

Mohammad Rizwan and Saeed Shakeel shared 141 runs for the fifth wicket.

The bowlers took West Indies past 100 runs West Indies batsmen could bat only 25.2 overs in the first innings. In the top-7, only captain Craig Braithwaite could reach 11 runs, the remaining 6 batsmen could not even touch the figure of 7 runs. The team lost 8 wickets on the score of 66 runs.

The bowlers again took West Indies past 100 runs. Sinclair scored 11 runs, Moti 19, Warrican 31 and Seals 22 to take the team's score to 137 runs. Noman Ali took 5 wickets and Sajid Khan 4 wickets from Pakistan. Abrar Ahmed also got 1 success.

Babar also failed in the second innings Pakistan also started their innings on the second day of the match. Team captain Shan Masood and Mohammad Huraira had an opening partnership of 67 runs. Huraira was dismissed after scoring 29 runs. Babar Azam also flopped in the second innings, getting out for just 5 runs. He scored 8 runs in the first innings. Jomel Warrick took both the wickets.

Captain Masood was set, but was run out after scoring 52 runs. The team lost the third wicket on the score of 106 runs. Till the end of the day's play, Kamran Ghulam remained unbeaten with 9 runs and Saeed Shakeel remained not out with 2 runs. By scoring 109 runs, Pakistan has taken a lead of 202 runs in the second innings.

Jomel Warrick has taken 2 wickets in the second innings.

It rained on the first day On Friday, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat. Only 41.3 overs could be played due to rain. The home team scored 143 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Top-4 batters could not do anything special. Saeed Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan scored half-centuries to put the team in a good position.
