Australian Open- World No. 1 Sinner reaches quarter-finals: Defeats Holger Rune of Denmark; Elina Svitolina won the women's singles

World No. 1 tennis player Janic Siner has reached the men's singles quarterfinals at the Australian Open. Defending champion Italy's Sinner beat Denmark's Holger Rune 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2.

The umpire had to take a medical timeout in this match which was played in a temperature of more than 32 degrees Celsius.

Sinner's service caused the net to fall. Later repaired.

Sinner had to seek medical help Sinner and Rooney were seen wearing cool towels to their faces to beat the heat at Rod Laver Arena on Monday. Both also splashed water several times. Sinner had to seek medical help for more than 10 minutes in the third set.

Lorenzo Sonego also in the quarter finals In men's singles, Italy's Lorenzo Sonego defeated America's Lerner Tien 6-2, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1. Now he will face Ben Shelton from America. In the other quarter-final match, Novak Djokovic will face Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev will face Tommy Paul.
