Grand welcome for India-England cricketers in Rajkot: Kathiawadi welcome with garba to the beat of drums, Arshdeep also played garba – Rajkot News

The third match of the ongoing T20 series between India and England will be played in Rajkot on January 28, due to which cricket fever has engulfed the city. The Indian team will be staying at the Sayaji Hotel on Kalavd Road and the England team at the Fortune Hotel on the 150-foot Ring Road. On Sunday evening, the players of India and England team were welcomed on the red carpet at Sayaji Hotel on Kalavad Road in Rajkot by giving tilak kari book and wearing garlands. Players welcomed on red carpet in Kathiawadi Thath The third match of the ongoing T20 series between India and England is scheduled to be played in Rajkot on January 28, for which all the preparations are being finalized. Two days before the match i.e. Sunday, January 26, the players of both the teams have arrived in Rajkot, in which the Indian team players will stay at Hotel Sayaji on Kalavd Road, while the England team will stay at Hotel Fortune on 150 feet Ring Road. The Indian players were welcomed at the Kathiawadi Thath with tilak kari book and garlands on the red carpet. In which all the players including Captain Surya Kumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Tilak Verma, Sanju, Arshdeep, Akshar Patel along with team coach Gautam Gambhir, Sitanshu Kotak, and supporting staff were welcomed at Sayaji Hotel. Each room in the hotel is decorated in a royal royal theme. About 70 rooms have been allotted to Team India at Hotel Sayaji. In which the captain and coach of Team India will be allotted a special presidential suite room. Inside this presidential suite room features like 100 MBPS internet speed, jacuzzi bath, meeting room, one king size bed and sound proof room are made available in the presidential suite room. Each room in the hotel is decorated on a royal theme. In which different photos of heritage palaces of Gujarat and India have been placed inside the room. In the morning, nagtia, jalebi, thepla will be served for breakfast, along with arrangements have been made for the players of Team India including gym, swimming pool. It is worth mentioning here that some of the players of Team India have already stayed at Sayaji Hotel in Rajkot, so preparations have been made by the hotel staff to serve them their favorite dishes. This time also Gujarati dishes will be served in which in the morning dishes like nagtia, jalebi, thepla etc. will be served while in the afternoon Sayaji special Gujarati thali and at night Dahi Tikhari, Vagharelo Rotlo, Khichdi, Curry, Rotla, Rotli will be served. Cutouts with the welcome of Team India were seen on the road. Cricket fever is being seen in Rajkot when the ongoing series between India and England has already started. Outside the hotel and on the road, cutouts and welcome banner hoardings of Team India players are seen welcoming them. It is worth mentioning that till now, a total of 11 international matches have been played at the Khanderi Cricket Stadium in Rajkot, including 3 Tests, 5 T-20s and 4 ODIs. Apart from this, India's women's team also recently visited Rajkot for the first time in January 2025, in which the Indian women's cricketers recorded a record-breaking victory over Ireland to clinch the One Day International series 3-0.
