Smriti Mandhana ICC One Day Cricketer of the Year-Women: Azmatullah of Afghanistan won the title for the third time.

Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana has received the title of Women's ODI Cricketer of Year. Afghan all -rounder Azmatullah Omarzai has been chosen in men. The ICC announced this on Monday.

Mandhana has also received the Women's ODI Cricketer Award in 2018 and 2022 before 2024. He has scored 747 runs in 13 matches in 2024. Azmatullah scored 417 runs and took 17 wickets.

Mandhana's 4 ODI century in 2024 Indian vice -captain Smriti Mandhana scored 4 centuries in ODI cricket last year. He started the year with 29 off 29 balls against Australia. After this he had to wait six months for the next ODI. Mandhana has also scored three half centuries in 2024. Meanwhile, his best score was 136 runs.

Smriti's 747 runs is the highest run by him in one calendar year. Last year, he batted at an average of 57.86 and a strike rate of 95.15. Mandhana has scored 95 fours and 6 sixes in 2024.

For the first time an Afghan player becomes ODI Cricketer of the Year ICC has given the ODI Cricketer of the Year award to Azmatullah Omarzai of Afghanistan for the year 2024. In the 17 ODI matches played in 2024, he has scored 417 runs and took 17 wickets. Its average has been 52.12 during this period. Omarzai has taken wickets at an average of 20.47.

The second player to receive the award after Rashid Rashid Khan was elected as the best T20 cricketer in the 2010 decade before Azmatullah Omarzai. Azmatullah Omarzai made his ODI debut in 2021. He has played 36 ODI matches for Afghanistan and took 30 wickets. He has also scored 907 runs. Azmatullah Umarzai has scored 31 wickets and 474 runs in 47 matches at T-20 International. He has only been able to play only one Test match.
