Australia's Better Smith completed 10,000 runs in the Test: Gall score a century in Test, Khwaja's century also fulfilled; Score on the first day 330/2

Australian veteran Better Steve Smith has completed 10,000 runs in Test cricket. He scored 1 run on the first day of the first Test against Sri Lanka and scored 10,000 runs.

Australia scored 330/2 in the first innings until the first stump of the ongoing match in Gale. Steve Smith 104 and Osman Khwaja returned to the noteout with 147 runs. Opener Travis Head was dismissed for 57 and Marnas Labushen was dismissed for 20. Prabbath Jayasuriya and Jeffrey Wanders took one wicket each from Sri Lanka.

The third Australian to score 10 thousand runs Steve Smith has become the 15th batter in the world to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket. He has become the fourth Australian batter. Earlier, former captain Ricky Ponting (13378 runs), Alan Border (11174 runs) and Steve Waugh (10927 runs) have achieved the feat.

Opening partnership of 92 runs between head-to-head Australia won the toss and decided to bat. The opening pair of Travis Head and Osman Khwaja proved the decision of captain Steve Smith. The two shared 92 runs. The partnership was broken by Prabath Jayasuriya. He caught Travis Head at Chandimal's hand. After that, Marnas Labushen, who was batting, was dismissed for 20 runs. He was caught in the bowling of Geoffrey Vendrus at the hands of De Silva.
