In the first semifinal of the Champions Trophy, Australia gave India a target of 265 runs. Kangaroos scored 264 runs with 73 runs of captain Steve Smith at Dubai Stadium. Mohammad Shami took 3 wickets.

Australia's wicketkeeper Alex Kerry scored 61 runs.

Alex Kerry was run out on the first ball of the 48th over. Kerry played the first ball of Hardik Pandya's over to the Fine Leg. Here, Fielder Shreyas Iyer threw straight on the stump and Kerry was run out while taking the second run.
