Fast bowlers in IPL now: Betters playing against swings will be lifted, lifting on saliva during Kovid

Applying saliva on the ball helps the bowler to get a reverse swing. This picture is of the time when Virat Kohli is shining the ball in the IPL.

The BCCI has removed the rock on saliva on the ball in IPL-20125. According to the news agency PTI, the IPL committee of the board made the decision after a consent at a meeting with the captain in Mumbai on Thursday. However, no official statement has been released from the board.

The board stopped in 2020 due to a corona. However, the ICC has not shown any delay in this rule in international cricket.

The meeting has also allowed DRS for wide on the no-ball and off or leg stumps above the waist.

Why does the bowlers apply saliva on the ball? Putting saliva on the ball to the fast bowlers is the most help. This makes the ball swing better. You may have noticed that bowlers and fielder are rubbing the ball with cloth and applying saliva.

In fact, they try to maintain the shine of the ball on one side. So that it is easy to swing the ball. In this process, they often tamper with the ball, which comes under the scope of the ball tampering.

Mohammad Shami demanded a change in the rule of saliva on the ball during the Champions Trophy. “Modern cricket has become difficult for bowlers,” he said at a press conference. It is difficult to get reverse swing, but the ICC has banned saliva on the ball. '

How does saliva swing the ball? When the bowler rubs the ball with saliva, the ball becomes smooth on the sidewalk. On the other hand it becomes rough. When the fast bowler is bowling, the ball swings to the rough side in the air, called a reverse swing.

There is also a traditional swing in cricket. This is possible with the new ball when the ball is shining on both sides. In this, the bowler swings the ball on both sides using his hands and wrist skills. When the ball gets older, it starts to swing reverse.

ICC is still not in favor of saliva on the ball The BCCI may have made two new rules for the IPL, but the ICC has not yet accepted these rules for international matches. The International Cricket Council (ICC) banned saliva on the ball during the corona. In 2022, the ICC made this rule permanently. Then IPL also accepted these rules. There is no rule for a review for wide and no-ball in international cricket.

The third time was fined for applying saliva Last year, there was a rule in the IPL that if a player committed saliva on the ball 3 times in the match, the player was fined Rs 1 lakh or 25% of his match fee. In this case, the fielding team captain was called and warned. For the third time the match decides to impose penalties on the referee player or the captain of the team.
