Virat Kohli has decided to retire from Test cricket. He has given this information to the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI). However, the BCCI has asked him to reconsider his decision.
On Thursday, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test cricket via social media post.
Runs in the Border-Gavaskar series at less than 25 Virat's performance in the Border-Gavaskar series was not good. In this series, he scored an average of 5.5. 7 out of 8 times he was out on the ball outside of the stump. In BGT, Kohli scored 190 in 9 innings, including an unbeaten century. In the last 5 years, it has scored only 3 centuries in 37 Tests and its average was less than 35. Earlier, Kohli retired from T20 cricket, but he remained in a tremendous form in IPL 2025. He has scored 505 runs in 11 games so far.
He has scored more than 9,000 runs in the Test.
36 -year -old Kohli has scored 9,230 runs in 123 Tests so far. He has also scored 30 centuries and 31 half centuries in his innings.
