Indian batter Virat Kohli has retired from Test cricket. He gave this information on Instagram.
Earlier, Virat Kohli had expressed his desire to retire from Test cricket. He had earlier informed the Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) about this, however, the BCCI asked him to reconsider his decision.
Runs in the Border-Gavaskar series at less than 25 Virat's performance in the Border-Gavaskar series was not good because he scored on an average of less than 25. In this series he scored an average of 23.75. 7 out of 8 times he was out on the ball outside of the stump. In BGT, Kohli scored 190 in 9 innings, including an unbeaten century. In the last 5 years, it has scored only 3 centuries in 37 Tests and has an average of less than 35. Earlier, Kohli retired from T20 cricket, but he remained in a tremendous form in IPL 2025. He has scored 505 runs in 11 games so far.
He has scored more than 9,000 runs in the Test.
36 -year -old Kohli has scored 9,230 runs in 123 Tests so far. He has also scored 30 centuries and 31 half centuries in his innings.
