IPL will resume on May 17, new schedule public: Final on June 3; The tournament had to be stopped 4 days ago due to tensions with Pakistan

The IPL will resume from 17th May. The remaining 13 matches of the league stage will be played in 6 places. The Playoff Stage will be played from May 29, and the final will be played on June 3. The BCCI gave this information on its social media handle.

Due to tensions with Pakistan, the IPL had to be postponed on May 9. The BCCI postponed the tournament, saying that the country is currently in a state of war. In this case, the cricket tournament is not appropriate.

Beginning with the Bengaluru-Kolkata match The first match between RCB and KKR will be played in Bengaluru on May 17. The remaining matches will be played in Jaipur, Delhi, Lucknow, Mumbai and Ahmedabad. The league stage will end on May 27. There will be 2 double headers on Sunday, 18th and 25th. That is, 13 league stage will be matched in 11 days.

The match between Punjab and Delhi to be held at the inn on May 8 was stopped due to Pakistan attacks. The match will now be played in Jaipur on May 24. The place of playoff matches has not yet been decided. Earlier, Hyderabad and Kolkata had to play 2-2 playoffs.

3. How many teams are still in the playoff race? Three out of 10 IPL teams have been out of the playoff race. These three teams are Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Chennai. The rest of the team is still in the playoff race.

4. In which cities can the rest of the match be held? The remaining 16 matches were to be held in 9 different cities according to the previous schedule. These include Lucknow, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Jaipur and Kolkata. It is not yet decided whether the match will be held in all these cities or decline.

5. Are all foreign players still present in India? No When the BCCI decided to postpone the league, foreign players and support staff were asked to return to their country. Many of these players have returned to their home. It will be called again. There is no other major series going on anywhere in the world, so there should be no problem.

6. Why does BCCI want to organize the rest of the match in May? April-May window is available for IPL year. This means that no major series is being held anywhere else in the world during this period. If the remaining IPL match is not held in May, the board may have to wait till September. The final of the World Test Championship will be played between Australia and South Africa in June. After this, the Indian team is to travel to England, where a five -Test series is to be held. The rest of the team will also be busy with various series by August.
