Rohit Sharma will start a new innings in politics?: After retiring from the test, Fadnavis met, Maharashtra CM greeted; Discussions that joined the BJP caught on

Rohit Sharma, who has recently retired from Test cricket after T20 format, arrived in his government residence 'Varsha' to meet Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. After the visit, discussions have taken place in Rahul's politics. It is estimated that Rohit Sharma is also going to join the BJP.

The debate in politics has caught on, however, after retiring, cricketers' politics are nothing new. From former captain Mohammad Azharuddin to Vinod Kambli and Navjot Singh Sidhu, there are many players who have made politics their second innings.

Rohit retired on May 7 Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from Test cricket with immediate effect, which ended all speculation about his future in the longest format. The 38 -year -old was one of the most successful Test batteries in India in the second half of his career.

Rohit Sharma's test career is this Rohit Sharma scored 4301 runs in 67 Tests at an average of 40.57 with the help of 12 centuries and 18 half. Rohit captained India in the final of the World Test Championship against Australia. His performance as captain has been dominant, except for the last range of New Zealand and the Border-Gavaskar series against Australia. Rohit was going through a bad time

During the 2024-25 seasons, Rohit went through a difficult time. He scored 164 runs in 15 games at an average of 10.83. Rohit was in bad form during the home series against Bangladesh and New Zealand. After this, he did not play in the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy because of his son's birth. When Rohit returned during the second Test in Adelaide, he did not start the innings and sent Yashwashi Jaiswal and KL Rahul to start the innings. In the absence of Rohit, Yashwashi and Rahul's pair shared a 201 run in the first Test.

Rohit scored 12 Test centuries Rohit made a Test debut for India in 2013. During 2021, he managed to strengthen his position in Playing-11 and also achieved captaincy in 2022. In 67 Tests for India, he scored at an average of 40.57, but at home its average dropped to 31.01.

Rohit's average in Australia was 24.38 and South Africa 16.63. However, in England, he scored at an average of 44.66. He also scored a century while opening on the last tour. After Rohit's retirement, Team India may focus on focusing on Yashwashi Jaiswal and KL Rahul as a permanent opener in the Test team.

Rohit failed against New Zealand and Australia Rohit also failed badly in the last Test series against New Zealand and Australia. He was able to score 15.16 against New Zealand and Australia at an average of 6.20. The selectors have now decided that because of Rohit's form, he cannot be entrusted with the responsibility of captaincy.

Rohit could not play the first test. He became part of the playing-11 in the second Test, but came to bat in the middle order. India then won the first Test under Jasprit Bumrah's captaincy, but lost 2 matches under Rohit's captaincy. He could not play the last Test in Sydney and has now retired.
