Indian Javelin Thrower Neeraj Chopra will participate in Januz Kusozinski Memorial Meet 2025 in Chorzov, Poland today. He threw a throw of 90.23 meters in the Doha Diamond League on Friday, which was his first time when he did so. However, Neeraj finished second in the league.
Germany's Julian Weber finished first with a throw of 91.06 meters and Granada Peter Anderson was third with 85.64 meters. Weber scored 91.06 meters in its last attempt.
Third Asian player to score over 90m Neeraj Chopra has become the third Asian player to score more than 90 meters in Javelin Throe. Not only that, he has become the 25th Javelin Throw player in the world to do so. Before Neeraj, Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan threw 92.97 meters in the Paris Olympic 2024, while Chinese Taipei's Chao-Tatsun Cheng threw 91.36 meters at the 2017 Asian Championship.

What is Januz Kusozinsky Memorial Meat? Launched in 1954, Chorzo Meet is named after the famous Polish athlete Januz Kusosinski, who won the gold medal in the 10,000 meter race at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics.
This is the 71st season of the meat. Januz Kusosinski Memorial is one of the longest-lasting annual athletics meet Europe and has been rated as a silver-level meat on the World Athletics Continental Tour.
