The last match of the league stage in the IPL will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Supergiants today. If the RCB wins, it will reach the top-2. If LSG wins, Bengaluru will have to play an eliminator. On the other hand, on Monday, Punjab Kings defeated the Mumbai Indians and fixed their place in Qualifier-1.

Mumbai Indians scored 184 runs in Jaipur on Monday. Punjab achieved the target by losing only 1 wicket in the 19th over.

  • Punjab has 19 points with 9 wins and 1 draw in 14 matches. The team reached No.1 and also fixed its position in Qualifier-1.
  • Mumbai have 16 points with 8 wins and 6 defeats in 14 matches. The team finished fourth place. With this, it was decided that the team would play an eliminator on May 30.

RCB can reach the top today

In today's IPL, RCB will play against LSG. Bengaluru is third in 13 matches with 8 wins and 17 points with 1 draw. By winning today's match, Bengaluru will reach the top-2 and secure his place in Qualifier-1. If the team is lost, they will have to play Eliminator.

RCB needs only one win to get a place in Top-2.

LSG can ruin the game of Bengaluru

The Lucknow Supergiants are out of the playoffs, with 6 wins and 7 defeats in the team's 13 matches. The team will be in sixth place with 14 points, winning today's match. If the team is lost, it will be 7th. However, if Lucknow defeats Bengaluru, LSG will force him to play Eliminator.

Why is it important to get a place in Top-2?

The IPL adheres to the Playoff System to reach the final, where the top-2 position teams play against each other in Qualifier-1. The winner of this match reaches the final, while the losing team has another chance to reach the final.

On Sunday, Sai Sudarshan of Gujarat scored 41 runs, which strengthened his top spot among the scorers. He scored 679 runs in 14 games. Shubhman Gill is second with 649 runs. Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai reached third with 640 runs.

Top wicket tall becomes freight

Chennai spinner Noor Ahmed took 3 wickets on Sunday and thus got a purple cap. He was 24 wickets in 14 matches. Gujarat's famous Krishna reached second with 23 wickets. Trent Bolt of Mumbai Indians is third with 19 wickets.

Puran hit 40 sixes

The 18th season's top six hiter Nicholas flood has scored 40 sixes in 13 matches. Lucknow's Mitchell Marsh is second with 32 sixes. Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai is third with 32 sixes.
