The world's No.1 Magnus Carlson has won the Norway Chess 2025 tournament title. World champion de Gukesh finished third in the points table. Another Indian grandmaster Arjun Airigacy finished fifth.

Muzichuk wins the women's class In the women's category, Ukraine's grandmaster Anna Muzichuk won the title. Indian Grandmaster Konera Hampi finished third and Vaishali Rameshbabu was fifth.
Muzichuk said, I'm very happy. Win in this tournament means a lot. I think this is a great success. India is getting many new and good players from the new generation, but the older generation also had legendary players like Konenu Hampi. I played my first game with Konera when I was only seven. She was 10 years old at the time. This is 28 years ago. Muzichuk said that India was performing brilliantly in both women and men.
