Gukesh Norway finished third in the Chess Tournament: No.1 Carlson in the world wins the title; Anna Muzichuk at the top of the women's class

The world's No.1 Magnus Carlson has won the Norway Chess 2025 tournament title. World champion de Gukesh finished third in the points table. Another Indian grandmaster Arjun Airigacy finished fifth.

After the win, Carlson said, “I feel very good. It is a relief to win the tournament. The tournament was full of ups and downs, but in the end everything was fine. He said about Gukesh and Arjun.

Regarding his defeat against Gukesh, Carlson said, “Even though he may not remember well, this match will always be remembered.”

Gekesh beat Carlson in the sixth round Indian star de Gukesh defeated the world's No.1 Magnus Carlson in the sixth round. This was Gukesh's first win against Carlson in classical chess. After the defeat, Carlson punched on a chess board in anger, causing the pieces of chess to be scattered. However, he later apologized to Gukesh and also shook his back. After this, he did not talk to the media and left.

Muzichuk wins the women's class In the women's category, Ukraine's grandmaster Anna Muzichuk won the title. Indian Grandmaster Konera Hampi finished third and Vaishali Rameshbabu was fifth.

Muzichuk said, I'm very happy. Win in this tournament means a lot. I think this is a great success. India is getting many new and good players from the new generation, but the older generation also had legendary players like Konenu Hampi. I played my first game with Konera when I was only seven. She was 10 years old at the time. This is 28 years ago. Muzichuk said that India was performing brilliantly in both women and men. I think many more players will come in the coming days, against whom playing will always be challenging.
