Spain's 22 -year -old tennis player Carlos Alkaraz has become the French Open Champion. Alkaraz defeated Italy's Genic Sinner in five sets in a difficult title match that lasted more than 5 hours at Roland Garos Stadium.

Alkaraz won the match 4-6, 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-6. He defended his title here. With this, Alcaraz has made his record 5-0 in the Grand Slam. That is, this was his fifth Grand Slam final and he became the fifth time the winner.

The winner received a prize money of Rs 25 crore while the runner -up got Rs 13 crore. This is the sixth time in the open age when a person has become a champion after losing the first two sets in the final.

This time, both the title number-2 players of the French Open singles category went. Earlier, on Saturday, World No. 2 Koko Gauf became a champion by beating Sabalenka of No. 1 Arya. Now on Sunday, No. 2 Alkaraz did the same by beating No. 1 Siner.

Sinner lost his fifth consecutive match to Alkaraz This was the fifth consecutive victory of Alkaraz against Sinner. He also defeated Sinner in the final of the Rome Masters last month. So far 12 matches have been played between the two, of which Alkaraz has won 8 matches.
