Australia beat West Indies by 159 runs in the first Test match played in Barbados. Australia all out for 141 runs with Josh Hazelwood's 5 wickets. Nathan Lyon took 2 consecutive wickets on the last two balls of the day.

Australia scored 310 runs in the second innings Australia scored 310 runs in the second innings. Earlier, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. The team was all out for just 180 runs in the first innings. Travis Head scored half a century in both innings. He scored 59 in the first innings and 50 in the second innings. It was declared Player of the Match.

In addition to the heads from Australia, Alex Kerry scored 65 runs in the second innings and 63 runs. West Indies Shamar Joseph took 5 wickets in the second innings.
