South Africa captain Vian Mulder scored 367* against Zimbabwe in the Bulawayo Test. He missed Brian Lara's 400 -run historic record of breaking by just 33 runs. Mulder has become the highest scorer outside the house.
Despite the 27 -year -old Vian lunch break, South Africa declared their innings on 625/5. In addition to Mulder, Luhan-D-Pritorus scored 82 and David Bedingham 78. Tanaka Chivanga and Kunde Matizimu took 2-2 wickets from Zimbabwe. By the end of the second day of the second day on Monday, Zimbabwe has lost one wicket and scored 51 runs. - Mulder scored the second fastest three centuries in Test history. He finished his three -century in 297 balls. The fastest three century is Virender Sehwag's 278 balls (2008).
- Mulder finished 350 off 324 balls, the fastest record by any batters in the Test. The previous record was Matthew Hayden's 402 ball (2003).
- One of the second highest boundaries in one of the Test innings. Hit 53 boundaries (49 fours + 4 sixes) in the innings.
The longest test innings on foreign soil Mulder has the highest personal score in Test cricket abroad, which broke the record of Pakistan's Hanif Mohammad's 337 against the West Indies in 1958. Mulder also left the giants like Sanath Jayasuriya (340), Lane Hutton (364) and Sir Gary Sobers (365).
