In the final played at Arthur Ashe Stadium on Saturday night, Sabalenka (27), the world's number one and defending champion, Sabalenka (27) won the US Open title for the second consecutive time by beating American Amanda Anisimova 6-3, 7-6 (7/3).
This is his fourth Grand Slam. This was Sabalenka's third Grand Slam final this year. She had previously lost to American players twice. Last year, Sabalenka won its first US Open title by beating American player Jessica Pegula. In addition, she also became the first woman to win the trophy at the US Open after Serena Williams in 2012-14.
Sabalenka lost to Anisimova in the Wimbledon semifinal in July. Before the final, nine matches were played between the two players. Anisimova has won 6 matches.
