Mohun Bagan comfortably defeated Jamshedpur at home, winning 3-0. The victory moved them to the top of the ISL points table, surpassing Bengaluru.
Mohun Bagan returned to the field after a long break and won. They had to lose points against Odisha in the previous match. But on Saturday, the green and maroon did not give Jamshedpur a chance to stand at home. Dimitri Petratos, Liston Colasso, and Manbir Singh bloomed in Yuva Bharati. Bagan played good football throughout the match. From ball possession, passing to shots on goal, they pushed the team from the neighboring state. The plan that coach Jose Molina had put the team in was 100 percent successful. Bagan defeated Jamshedpur and topped the ISL points table. They have 17 points in 8 matches. Bengaluru FC, who are in second place, also have 17 points in 8 matches. But Sunil Chhetri is in second place in goal difference.
Another 3 points into accounts 💚♥️

Mohun Bagan was aggressive from the start
Bagan started playing aggressive football from the start at home. They were attacking from both ends. Manbir on the right and Liston on the left were repeatedly entering Jamshedpur’s box. They were placing measured crosses. As a result, Jamshedpur’s defense was under pressure in the first 15 minutes. In the first 15 minutes, Bagan had 67 percent possession of the ball. Jamshedpur had only 33 percent.
Tom Alldred’s first blow to Jamshedpur
Bagan kept the pressure on. They scored the first goal in the 15th minute. Petratos crossed from the corner. The ball went out, but Deepak Tangri sent the ball back into the box. Alberto Noguera headed the ball towards Alldred. Alldred scored with a right-foot volley to give Bagan the lead.

Jamshedpur blocked Molina’s strategy
Molina used a 4-2-3-1 goal in this match. Deepak Tangri and Apuya were in front of the four defenders. The Bagan coach knew that Javi Hernandez was running Jamshedpur’s game. He placed two people in front of the defense to stop him. As a result, Jamshedpur’s supply line was closed. They could not open the goal mouth as the distance between the midfield and the attack increased.
Petratos covered Stewart’s absence
Although he could not score, Petratos showed in the first half what he can do if he is in rhythm. Since Greg Stewart is not in this match, Molina is playing him behind Jamie McLaren. His job is to create goal opportunities. He did that job continuously. This foreigner from Bagan could have scored at least two goals in the first half. He missed the opportunity by a narrow margin. Jamshedpur’s footballers were repeatedly fouling him to stop him. As a result, a heated situation was sometimes created on the field.

The old Liston was seen in stoppage time of the first half. He could beat more than one player at a time. He showed that in this match. Liston caught the ball outside the box during stoppage time. After that, his dribbling started. He entered the box after beating five players. After that, he coolly placed a left-footed shot at the second post. Goalkeeper Albino Gomes had nothing to do. Bagan went ahead 2-0.
