Manchester United came back from behind to beat Manchester City 2-1

Manchester: Manchester United made a strong comeback with the help of a goal scored by Amad Diallo in the 90th minute and defeated Manchester City 2-1 in Premier League football here. Four-time defending champion City maintained a 1-0 lead till the 88th minute in the Manchester Derby played at Etihad Stadium, but Bruno Fernandes changed the course of the match by scoring an equalizer on a penalty shot. After this, Diallo scored the winning goal and ensured United’s victory. This is City’s eighth defeat in the last 11 matches.

Despite this victory, United’s team is 13th with 22 points while City’s team is at fifth place with 27 points. Second-placed Chelsea has narrowed the points gap with top-placed Liverpool to two after a 2-1 win against Brentford. Liverpool has 36 points. Chelsea is four points ahead of third-placed Arsenal. Southampton fired manager Russell Martin after a 0-5 defeat against Tottenham. Southampton is at the bottom while Tottenham has moved up to 10th. Ismaila Sarr scored twice in Crystal Palace’s 3-1 win over Brighton on Sunday.
