Kush Maini Becomes First Indian to Win Formula 2 Constructors’ Championship

Kush Maini made history in the 2024 Formula 2 season

Kush Maini made history in the 2024 Formula 2 season by becoming the first Indian to win the FIA Formula 2 Constructors’ World Championship. The 24-year-old racer played a key role in Invicta Racing’s dominant performance, helping the team secure the title with a 34.5-point lead over Campos Racing.

A Year of Milestones

Maini’s exceptional season included five podium finishes, a race victory in Hungary, and a historic pole position in Jeddah—making him the first Indian to achieve this feat in Formula 2. Despite some challenges during the season, these achievements underlined his immense talent and consistency.

Abu Dhabi Finale

In the final race weekend in Abu Dhabi, Maini had a strong start, qualifying in sixth place. He gained positions early, moving to sixth in the Sprint race and third in the Feature race. However, mechanical issues and a missed pitstop impacted his final results.

Maini Reflects on the Season

“It wasn’t the year I wanted considering the way we started, but there were still a lot of positives, including the Constructors’ Championship,” said Maini. He expressed gratitude to Invicta Racing for their support and looked forward to new opportunities next season.

With this milestone, Maini has set a new benchmark for Indian motorsport on the international stage.
