Bangladesh tour may be postponed, Sri Lanka and India can clash: conversations between the two boards continue; 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches can be played in August

On August 7, 2024, India played the last 3 match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

India and Sri Lanka teams are able to play a series of 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches next month. Although this series is not part of the ICC's Future Tour Program (FTP), both teams currently have a free window.

India had to travel to Bangladesh in August, where 3 ODIs and 3 T20 matches were to be played. But due to the political situation in Bangladesh, the tour is now postponed until September 2026. On the other hand, the Sri Lanka Premier League (LPL), which will be held in July-August, has also been postponed. This has also left vacant time for the Sri Lankan Cricket Board (SLC).

BCCI-SLC is communicating with each other According to Sri Lankan local media Newswire, talks are currently underway between BCCI and SLC. Both boards are trying to determine the dates of 3 ODI and 3 T20 matches.

Sri Lanka is organizing Bangladesh Currently, Sri Lanka is organizing Bangladesh on its home ground. Sri Lanka won the three-match ODI series 2-1. Now, a three -match T20 series between the two teams will start on July 10 and end on July 16.

After this, Sri Lanka will not play any international match until the last week of August. After this, the team will travel to Zimbabwe, where two ODIs and three T20 matches are to be played.

India on a tour of England until August 4 On the other hand, the Indian team is currently playing a series of 5 Tests in England, which will end on August 4. After this, the next big tournament for Team India is the Asia Cup, but no series has been decided before. If the conversation between India and Sri Lanka is successful, the Indian team can travel to Sri Lanka in August.

Last year, there was a series between India and Sri Lanka (ODI and T20). Sri Lanka defeated India in ODI. When India won the T20 series.

India's Bangladesh tour was postponed On June 5, India's Bangladesh tour was postponed for one year. According to the BCCI, Team India will now travel to Bangladesh in September next year instead of August 2025.

The BCCI did not give a reason for the re -schedule. It is believed that the decision has been taken in the recent past due to deteriorating relations and security between India and Bangladesh. India is going to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20 in Bangladesh next year.
