Bangladeshi cricketer Mahmudullah retires from international cricket: the fourth Bangladeshi player to score the highest run in ODI; Play 430 matches for the team

Bangladeshi player Mahmudullah has retired from international cricket. On Wednesday, Mahmudullah announced his retirement on social media platform Facebook. 39 -year -old Mahmudullah has retired from Test in 2021 and T20 in 2024. He played a total of 430 international matches.

Mahmudullah is the fourth among the highest scorers in ODIs from Bangladesh. He scored 5689 runs at an average of 36.46, including 4 centuries and 32 half centuries. Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal have scored more than Mahmudullah in ODIs for Bangladesh.

I know I will be remembered in red and green jersey: Mahmudullah Mahmudullah wrote on his post, 'I have decided to retire from international cricket. I thank all my fellow players, coaches and especially my fans who have always supported me. Thank you very much to my brother Imdad Ullah, who has been with me since childhood as my coach and mentor. '

He further said, 'Thank you my wife and children who have supported me in every difficult time. I know I will be remembered in red and green jersey. Everything doesn't end completely. '

Announced retirement from T20 5 months ago Mahmudullah announced his retirement from the T20 format in the series against India in October. He played his last T20 match against India in Hyderabad on October 12.

Mushfiqur retired on March 6 Bangladesh's Better Mushfiqur Rahim also retired from ODI cricket this week. Mushfiker announced this on his Facebook page. Mushfiqur's one-day career was 19 years old.
