The Indian Cricket Control Board (BCCI) has changed the playing conditions and has approved the player in exchange for injury in the next domestic season. If a player suffers from a serious injury and is not in a position to play in the match, another player will have a chance. This rule will apply to multi-day local matches. That is, in more than one day matches.
Rishabh Pant was injured in the recent Anderson-Tendulkar series in England. After this, England fast bowler Chris Walks were also injured. According to the rules, the player can only be replaced if the injury is in the head. This is called a Concession replacement. The same rule applies to international cricket. However, for domestic cricket in India, BCCI has decided to allow replacement in other injuries as well.
What are the new rules? If a player suffers serious injuries during the match, the player may be allowed to replace it. The injury should occur during the game and inside the field.
There are different opinions of many players on this change. England Test captain Ben Stokes described him as a joke, while Gautam Gambhir welcomed him. Rishabh Pant of India and Chris Walks of England both suffered serious injuries in the fourth and fifth Test, after which they could not attend the match.

I'm in favor of this – serious After Rishabh Pant's injury, the chief coach Gautam Gambhir said,
I'm in favor of this. If the umpire and match referees feel that the injury is serious, then it is very important to give a substitute player. There is nothing wrong with this, especially in a series where the first three Test matches were difficult. Imagine how unfortunate it would have been if we had to play with 10 players.
This is a joke- Ben Stokes When the Oval Test suffered a shoulder injury, English captain Ben Stokes said,
This is a perfect joke. This will help the team find the weaknesses. When you choose 11, injuries are also part of the game. I understand the conjunction replacement because it's about the player's safety. But talk about injury replacement should stop.
BCCI informed at umpiers workshop In the ongoing umpires' workshop in Ahmedabad, the BCCI informed about the conditions of the new game. The BCCI has made it clear that this rule will not apply in white ball cricket (Syed Mushtaq Ali, Vijay Hazare). It is not yet decided whether it will apply to the IPL. But it will be implemented in the CK Naidu Trophy (U-19 Multi-Day Tournament).

- If a player is seriously injured during the match, he will be replaced If a player is injured inside the field, he can be replaced. In this case, a player can be wounded by a ball, fracture or dislocation. The injury can be so serious that the player will not be able to participate in the match. The player will then be replaced.
- If there is a short run the fielding team will decide the striker If the batting team players deliberately take a short run, the fielding team will decide which of the two strikers will bat for the next ball. This rule is being introduced for the first time in the history of cricket. This will only be adopted in the domestic cricket of IPL and BCCI.
- Umpires on the field will evaluate the severity of the injury Onfield umpires present on the field will evaluate serious injury and allow replacement. They can consult a match referee and doctor.
- The team manager will have to give a form to the match referee which will include: The injured player's name, when and how the injury was done, and he can no longer play. The replacement player's name, which should be the same (in the same role).
- Substeat list should be given at the time of toss Replacement will be selected from the players who have been named as a substitute at the toss. In the case of a serious injury to the wicketkeeper, the outside keeper will be allowed only if there is no keeper of the substitute player. The match referee will only allow replacement if they feel that the new player will not give an unfair benefit to the team.
- Match referee's decision will be final The match referee's decision will be final, no team will have the right to appeal. The replacement player will face the same fine, warning or timeout as an injured player. After the replacement is approved, the injured player will not be able to return to the match. Both players (injured and replacement) matches will be played in the records and statistics.
