Being with family doesn't spoil the game- Buttler: England captain says family support is very important during long cricket tour

England white ball captain Jos Buttler said that being with family during cricket series does not affect the game. Family support is needed to keep oneself motivated and refreshed on long journeys, he said. After covid, it has become more important to keep our families together and be with them.

Buttler's statement came before the start of the T-20 series against India. On the other hand, BCCI imposed a time limit on Indian players to meet their families after losing the series against New Zealand and Australia. Captain Rohit Sharma himself does not seem happy with this decision.

Spending time with family is important The first match of the T-20 series between India and England will be played on January 22. Buttler said before the match, 'I think this is very important. We live in a modern world and in such times the family should also be together, so that we can share our sorrows and joys with the family members.'

Buttler said, T20 series against India will be very exciting.

A lot of time is invested in cricket Buttler further said, 'A lot of time is spent on the cricket field as a player. Players stay away from their homes for long periods of time. After covid, spending time with family has become more important. I don't think at all that being with family has a bad effect on sports.

A family can be managed on a long tour. I think players in other countries who play cricket for a long time start to suffer mentally. Especially when the results are not in our favor, it is important that we spend our time with the family member.'

Jos Buttler will not keep wicket in the series against India.

BCCI tightened rules regarding family After losing the Test series against New Zealand 3-0 and Australia 3-1, the BCCI has made 10 rules regarding the players. One of these rules was related to family, which stated that family members could only stay with players for 2 weeks on a tour of more than 45 days. Not only this, the players also have to take permission from the team's head coach Gautam Gambhir to meet their families.

Butler said- Champions Trophy preparation will not be wasted Buttler also said before the match, 'The T20 series will not spoil the team's preparation for the Champions Trophy. I am not worried about the match schedule, I am just concentrating on playing the match. The T20 series will be very exciting. Then there will be ODIs, I am excited to play in them.

England announced their playing XI

England has given chance to 4 pacers in its playing-11.

The 5 T20 series between India and England will be played from January 22 to February 2. England has announced the playing-11 for the first match. 3 matches of the ODI series will be played from February 6 to 12. Then the Champions Trophy will also start in Pakistan and UAE from February 19.
