Bharat Arun becomes the new bowling coach of Lucknow Super Giants: 2 -year contract with LSG; KKR left after 4 years

Bharat Arun made KKR an IPL champion as a bowling coach.

IPL team Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) has appointed Bharat Arun as its new bowling coach. He was associated with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for four years from 2022 to 2025 and also made the team a champion in 2024.

Bharat Arun has previously been a bowling coach of Team India and under his coaching, India's bowling unit performed brilliantly. He has now signed a two -year contract with LSG.

Left KKR with mutual consent KKR and Bharat Arun are separated from mutual consent. KKR believes that over -coaching inputs can cause confusion for the team. Team mentor Dwayne Bravo also plays an active role in the bowling strategy. That is why Bharat Arun was allowed to go to the new team.

KKR has a policy that if a staff member wants to make his own professional career, the franchise does not come in his way. The same thing was said to be Arun.

Bharat Arun has played 6 international matches for India.

Zaheer Khan's contract will not be extended in LSG After the arrival of Bharat Arun, it has become clear that the tenure of Zaheer Khan, who is the mentor of LSG last season, will not be extended. His contract was for a year and is no longer being renewed. In addition, the return of the main coach Justin Langer is also considered difficult.

Lucknow appointed Zaheer as mentor for the IPL season of 2025.
