India lost the third wicket on the last ball of the first session. Here Shubman Gill got out after scoring 20 runs. He came forward to play the last ball of Nathan Lyon's over, but the ball went to Steve Smith who was fielding at slip adjacent to the outside edge of the bat.

5. Kohli survives being dismissed on the first ball

Virat Kohli got a lifeline on the very first ball of his innings. Boland bowled the 5th ball of the 8th over to a good length near the off stump. Kohli went to defend on this, but it hit the outside edge of the bat. At second slip, Smith dived to his right and took a one-handed catch, but the third umpire said the ball touched the ground while Smith was taking the catch.

6. Yashaswi opened Team India's account with four

Yashaswi Jaiswal opened the Indian team's account with a four in the match. In the first over, he hit a four off the third ball of Mitchell Starc's over, who was bowling with the new ball. Yashaswi scored 10 runs in 26 balls in his innings.
