Captain Rohit became mentally disturbed due to the defeat in Melbourne

“I need change, will make a comeback after winning the Sydney Test, series is still pending”- He commented

Rohit Sharma said in the press conference, ‘We will make a comeback by winning the Sydney Test.’ Rohit Sharma said that he has become mentally disturbed due to the defeat in the Melbourne Test. He said that he needs to make many changes in himself and the team before the Sydney Test. Australia has the momentum, but the team would like to make a comeback by winning in Sydney.

I am mentally very disturbed – Rohit

Indian captain Rohit said, ‘Mentally this defeat is very disturbing, I tried many things in the match, but did not get the result as we wanted. It is disappointing when the results are against us. We should not think too much about what happened later. Some results were not in our favour, due to which I am very disappointed as captain.

You will have to make a lot of changes in yourself – Rohit

Rohit further said, ‘As a team we will have to make many changes. I have to change many things about myself. We will work on the shortcomings and see what can be done. There is one more game left, if we play well then the series can be tied at 2-2. It would also be good to draw the series.

Time is short but will try to win

Rohit said, ‘There is not much time before the fifth Test, but we cannot let the series go like this. I want us to try to take the momentum completely in our favour when we reach Sydney. It is not easy to win and play in Australia, but we will try to change the result. We would like to play better cricket as a team in Sydney.

Good play is overshadowed by bad results

Rohit said, ‘The pain of losing a match is very great. Batter’s performance keeps going up and down, but it feels worse to bear the results which are not in your favour. We should capitalize on the opportunities we got in both bowling and batting, but we did not capitalize on them on important occasions. Sometimes even the good performance of players gets overshadowed by bad results. Many players in the team also performed well.

More workload on Bumrah, but it is also important to take advantage of good form

Rohit said, ‘There is no doubt that Bumrah bowled too many overs. We have to think about managing the workload of all the bowlers. However, when a player is in his top form, he should be used as much as possible. We did the same with Bumrah also.

Many times we have to be careful about fast bowlers, we cannot make them bowl continuously. With Bumrah also we took great care of the workload. I kept talking to him even during the match whether he was feeling fit to bowl or not.

Praised Nitish Reddy

Captain Rohit praised young all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. He said, ‘When we saw him for the first time, we understood that he has a lot of talent. That is why he got continuous opportunities from the first match, which he also capitalized on. Nitish knows how to fight, so he can become a big player.

India lost on the last day in Melbourne

Team India lost the fourth Test in the Border Gavaskar Trophy by 184 runs on Monday. To save the match on the last day, India had to bat 92 overs, but the team was all out in 79.1 overs. Australia leads the series 2-1, now the last Test will be played in Sydney from January
