Alkarez wins in 4 sets In the first semifinal of the men's singles on Friday, Alkarez won the first set 6-4 against the world's No. 5 Fritz. Fritz made a comeback and won the second set 7-5. Alkarez made a comeback in the third set and won the set 6-3. The fourth set was very exciting, but Alcarez won the match by winning the last set 7-6 (8-6).
