Chahal's brilliant spin bowling turns ups: RCB was able to score only 95 in 14 overs, Punjab won by 5 wickets

Punjab Kings beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 5 wickets in the 34th match of IPL. The match was played for 14-14 overs due to rain at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday. Punjab chose to bowl. RCB scored 95 runs after losing 9 wickets. Punjab completed the target in 12.1 overs.

Yuzvendra Chahal, Marco Yanson, Arshadeep Singh and Harpreet Brar took 2-2 wickets from Punjab. Nehal Vadhera scored 33 runs and gave the team a victory. Tim David scored a fifty from Bangalore. Josh Hazelwood took 3 wickets.

The team lost 7 wickets for 42 against Tim David, who was batting at No. 7 for RCB. In this case, he hit the Fifty in just 26 balls and took the team to a challenging score of 95 runs. Even though his team lost, his innings made him player of the match.

  • Nehal Vadhera: Nehal batted fast, coming to bat at number five. He hit 2 fours and 2 sixes against Suyash Sharma. He was unbeaten on 33 runs and gave the team a victory.
  • Yuzvendra Chahal: Chahal gave only 11 runs in 3 overs. He caught the catch of RCB captain Rajat Patidar and Jitesh Sharma.
  • Arshadeep Singh: Arshadeep came to bowl with a new ball and took 2 wickets. He sent Phil Salt and Virat Kohli a pavilion.
  • Marco Jansen: Jansen, who is bowling in the second spell, also 2 wickets fast. He sent Kranal Pandya and Manoj Bhandga to the pavilion. Yanon also caught Kohli.

Josh Hazelwood tried to save the match by taking 3 wickets, but he got no support from the other end. Hazelwood sent Priyanka Arya, Shreyas Iyer and Josh English to the pavilion. He gave up only 14 runs in his 3 overs.

Bengaluru took 4 wickets for 53 runs in 8 overs. Suyash Sharma came here to bowl, he threw 4 dot balls against Nehal Vadhera but gave up 10 runs in the last 2 balls. Suyash then gave up 15 runs in the 11th over. In the low scoring match, he gave 25 off 8 balls, proving to be the turning point of the match.

5. Hazelwood reached second in the top wicket

Lucknow's Nicholas Purnan has become the top run player with 357 runs. Josh Hazelwood from Bangalore took 12 wickets to the top wicket -taking bowlers. Punjab won the 5th match of 7 and occupied second place in the points table. RCB reached fourth place.
