Australia has included all -rounder Connor Connoly in place of injured opener Matthew Short. On February 28, Afghanistan was wounded in a rain -affected match against Afghanistan. After which he got out of the rest of the tournament.
Australia will clash against India in the Champions Trophy semifinal at Dubai International Stadium on Tuesday.
He had an injury while fielding Short was injured while fielding in a match against Afghanistan. He later played 20 off 15 balls. Australia's medical staff has confirmed that it will not fit perfectly by the semifinals. After which he got out of the tournament.
Connolin included as a reserve player in the Australian team Connoly was already a travel reserve player in the Australian team. He has played 6 international matches for Australia so far. These include 3 ODIs, one test and 2 T20. He has scored 10 runs in 3 ODI matches so far. He did not bat in 2 T20 and scored 4 runs in the only Test.
