England fined for slow over rate: 2 points were cut in the World Test Championship, 10% fine on players; India reached fourth place

England cricket teams have lost two points due to a slow over rate in the Lord's Test against India. In addition, the team will also have to pay a 10% penalty of its match fee.

England are third in the World Test Championship (WTC) point table. While India is fourth.

In this Test match, England beat India by 22 runs, but the match referee Richie Richardson revealed that England had thrown two overs in the stipulated time.

Stokes accepted his own error

All players on the England team were fined 10% of their match fees. England have cut 2 points in the World Test Championship. However, Captain Ben Stokes accepted the error, so there was no need for a formal hearing.

According to the ICC rules, 5% of the players' match fees are cut when each over is short. Also, 1 WTC points are cut for each over.

What is the current situation in the WTC point table?

England's points in WTC dropped from 24 to 22. Their win rate (PCT) dropped from 66.67% to 61.11%. This has reached Sri Lanka (66.67%) second.

Australia is number one by winning all 3 matches so far and its PCT is 100%. India is currently fourth with a PCT of 33.33%.

Lord's Test won by 22 runs

On the fifth day of the Lord's Test, the Indian team was all out for just 170 runs in the second innings. The target was 193 runs. In the first session, England captain Ben Stokes and fast bowler Jofra Archer put India in trouble by Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Washington Sunder.

After this, a good partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Reddy began, but before lunch, Chris Walks gave Reddy a big blow to India's hopes. Lunch Suslon India reached 112/8.

Jofra Archer, who is playing Test after 4 years, sent the pavilion to Yashwashi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant and Washington Sundar in the second innings.

In the second session, Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah joined. The two made the match a bit exciting by sharing 35 runs, but Bumrah tried to play a big shot and was out for 5 runs.

After this, Mohammad Siraj came to the crease and began to support Jadeja. Jadeja continued his struggle by scoring half a century.

India had a little hope of winning in the third session, but off -spinner Shoaib Bashir bowled Siraj and England won the match by 22 runs.
