Former Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal has been admitted to the hospital after a heart attack on Monday morning. Tamim got a heart attack while playing the match.
He suffered severe chest pain when the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League was playing between Mohammadan Sporting Club and Shinpukur Cricket Club in Tamim Sawar.
Tamim has been kept under hospital supervision According to Creekbz report, Dr. Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) physician Dr. Debashish Chowdhury said that during the match, Tamim complained of chest pain and was taken to a nearby hospital where he was investigated and ECG. He was feeling uncomfortable and wanted to go back to Dhaka. The ambulance was called and when he was returning from the hospital to the field, he had chest pain again. He was then brought to the hospital for the second time and found out that he had a severe heart attack. He is now kept under inspection at Fazilatunas Hospital.
Tamim retired from international cricket in January this year Tamim Iqbal retired from International Cricket in January this year. This was the second time when he said goodbye to his career. Tamim also retired from international cricket in July 2023, but within 24 hours he changed his decision.
Tamim played the last match for Bangladesh in September 2023. He entered international cricket with the ODI match against Zimbabwe in February 2007.
