Former Indian cricketer Dilip Doshi passed away: Heart attack came to London, played 33 Tests and 15 ODIs for India

Former Indian cricketer Dilip Doshi passed away today due to a heart attack in London. He was 77 years old. Dilip Doshi was born in Rajkot. He played for Saurashtra and Bengal in the Ranji Trophy. They played 33 Tests and 15 ODIs for India from 1979 to 1883.

Debuted at the age of 32 Dilip Doshi was 32 years old when he debuted in Chennai against Australia in September 1979. He took 6 wickets for 103 in the first innings and took 8 wickets for a total of 167 in the match. Dilip Doshi is one of the nine Indian players who have five wickets in the debut Test. Left arm spinner Dilip Doshi took 114 Test wickets in 33 Tests, including five wickets six times. He also took 22 wickets at an economy rate of 3.96 in 15 ODIs.

Saurashtra played first class cricket Dilip Doshi played first-class cricket for Saurashtra and Bengal in India. He also represented Nottinghamshire and Warwickshire in county cricket in England. In total, he took 898 wickets in first-class cricket.

His inheritance, as both a player and a person, will live in our hearts and in the history of cricket. This is an extremely painful and personal loss for me. He was not just a great cricketer – he was my uncle, my mentor and person whom I respected my life. '
