Gambhir said- Not just a century, winning is also important: Bumrah will only play 3 Tests, Gill's captaincy was accurate; India lost by 5 wickets in leads

Indian team head coach Gautam Gambhir Captain Shubhman Gill.

After losing the lead test, Indian coach Gautam Gambhir has said that not only the century but also the victory is important. He said this in response to Pant's centuries question.

On the bowlers' exhibition, Gambhir said, “The young bowlers of India have to give time.” He praised Shubhman Gill's captaincy and the bowling of Jasprit Bumrah.

India suffered a 5 -wicket defeat in the first Test against England. The team gave a difficult target of 371 runs on the last day, which England team chased by 5 wickets.

Coach Gautam Gambhir's main issues …

1. Personal performance good, but the most important thing to win When asked about two centuries of Rishabh Pant, Gambhir said, “Three more centuries have been scored in the first Test against England. It is also a great positive thing, but not just a century, victory is more important. This is the four batter Yashwaswal Jaiswal, Shubhman Gill (Captain), and the first Test”.

Rishabh Pant scored a century in both innings of the first Test. He scored 134 runs in the first innings and 118 in the second innings.

2. Bumrah will only play 3 tests On the question of Jasprit Bumrah, Gautam Gambhir has made it clear that it was a good thing for fast bowler Bumrah to take five wickets. We will not change our plan. It is important to manage Bumrah's workload, as there is more cricket left.

Expressing confidence in young bowlers, Gambhir said, “The team we have chosen is not with hope but confidence. We believe these bowlers will perform better. We were also in good condition for four days in this test.

In the first innings against England, Bumrah was 5 wickets fast.

3. Important to give young fast bowlers time and experience Gambhir said it is important to give time and experience to the young fast bowlers of India. No bowler looked very effective except Bumrah. Famous Krishna, Siraj and Shardul Thakur could not perform well in the line-length.

“Previously, we had four fast bowlers who had more than 40 Tests experience,” he further said. Experience is very important in Test cricket, especially in foreign tours. If we judge the bowlers after each test, how do we create a fast bowling unit? The famous Krishna has all the qualities of becoming a great Test bowler.

Gambhir justified Shardul's decision to bowl the low bowling. He said that sometimes the captain likes the spinner according to the situation.

4. Sometimes players fail Regarding the lower -ranking batting, Gambhir said that in both India's innings, the lower batters were out early, which could not become a big lead. In the first innings, India lost the last 6 wickets by 41 runs. In the second innings, he lost 5 wickets for 31 runs. It's not that he didn't try, but sometimes players fail. This is a common thing.

“If we had reached 570-580 in the first innings, we would have a strong hold on the match,” he said. They are working hard in the net and hopefully the tailenders will perform well in the future.

5. Shubhman Gill's captaincy remained accurate Gambhir said of Captain Gill, Gill scored a brilliant century in his first Test as captain. It was the first match so it was natural to be nervous, but he performed very well. It has all the qualities to be a successful captain. We just have to give it time.

Shubhman Gill scored a century in the first match as captain. He scored 147 in the first innings.

India lost the first Test by 5 wickets The Indian team lost to England by 5 wickets in the first Test of Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The team is 0-1 in the 5-match series. The second match of the series will be played in Birmingham from July 2. On the last day of the match at Headingley Cricket Stadium in Leeds on Tuesday, England were supposed to score 350 runs, chasing the team losing 5 wickets. Ben Duckte scored 149 and Jack Crowley scored 65. Ben Stokes scored 33 runs. Shardul Thakur and renowned Krishna took two wickets from India.
