ICC Bans America’s National Cricket League for Rule Violations

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned the National Cricket League (NCL) of America

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has banned the National Cricket League (NCL) of America, citing rule violations. In a letter to United States of America Cricket (USAC), the ICC announced that it would not approve future editions of the league. The main issue was the breach of playing eleven rules, as 6-7 foreign players were included in the T10-format tournament.

The inaugural season of the NCL took place from October 4 to October 14. Chicago CC, led by Robin Uthappa, won the title by defeating Atlanta King by 43 runs. Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar presented the trophy to the winners.

Rules Violated by the NCL

The league saw participation from former Indian cricketers Suresh Raina and Dinesh Karthik, along with Pakistan’s iconic all-rounder Shahid Afridi. NCL also had notable cricket personalities like Wasim Akram and Vivian Richards as brand ambassadors. Cricket legends Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar were part of the ownership group.

Following the ICC’s decision, the NCL has become a hot topic online, with people searching for more information about the league on Google.
