India beat Sri Lanka by 60 runs in Super-6 of U-19 Women's World Cup; West Indies also reached the next round

The Indian women's team has entered the Super-6 round of the ongoing U-19 Women's T-20 World Cup in Malaysia. The Indian team defeated Sri Lanka by 60 runs in the Group-A match.

In Kuala Lumpur, the Sri Lankan team won the toss and elected to field. Here the Indian team scored 118 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, the Sri Lankan team could score only 58 runs for 9 wickets. Indian batsman Gongdi Trisha (49 runs) was the player of the match. In the other match of the day, West Indies beat hosts Malaysia by 53 runs. India is on top of Group-A with 6 points.

Erin Dean and captain Samara Ramnath of West Indies took six wickets together.

West Indies dismissed Malaysia by 59 runs Malaysia won the toss and elected to field first. The West Indies team scored 112 runs after losing 7 wickets in 20 overs. Chasing a target of 113 runs, Malaysia were bowled out for 59 runs in 18 overs and West Indies finished third in Group-A with all their matches played. After this defeat, Malaysia is at the bottom of the group.

The Malaysian team was all out for 59 runs.

Asabi Kalender was West Indies' top scorer West Indies opener Asabi Kalender scored the most runs. He faced 42 balls and scored 30 runs with 4 fours. Apart from them, Jahzara Claxton scored 19 runs and Abigail Bryce scored 14 runs. For Malaysia, Siti Najwa and Noor Izatul Syafika took two wickets each.

Captain Noor from Malaysia scored the highest 12 runs, the captain from Malaysia came to chase the target of 113 runs. Noor Dania Suhada was the highest scorer with 12 runs. He faced 17 balls and also hit 2 fours.

Captain Samara Ramnath took 4 wickets from West Indies The bowlers played an important role in West Indies' victory. Chasing a target of 113 runs, Malaysia was limited to 59 runs only. Samara Ramnath took 4 wickets giving 6 runs in 4 overs. While Jenny Cumberbatch and Erin Dean took 2 wickets each.
