Team India has won its first win in the 2025-27 World Test Championship (WTC) cycle. India beat England by 336 runs in the Edgbaston Test. With this win, India got 12 WTC points and their point percentage (PCT) has gone up to 50.00. India is now right with England in third place in the WTC table.
Australia is at the top of the WTC points table. The team beat West Indies in two consecutive Tests in its homes. Australia have 24 points. In the second place is the Sri Lankan team who defeated Bangladesh in the second Test. Sri Lanka have 16 points with one draw and one win.
Australia have taken a 2-0 lead in the 3-match Test series against the West Indies. The third Test match will be played in Kingston from July 13.
WTC Table status WTC 2025-27 began with the first match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The match was a draw. India started the series against England in the first match of the 5 Test series at Headingley. The team lost by 5 wickets.
