India Women crowned Kho-Kho World Cup Champions: Defeated Nepal 78-40 in final; The Indian team has not lost a single match in the tournament

Indian women's team has won the first Kho-Kho World Cup. The final of the tournament was played on Sunday at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. India defeated Nepal by a huge margin of 78-40 to clinch the title.

The Kho-Kho World Cup was played in New Delhi from 13 to 19 January. The Indian team went unbeaten in the tournament, while Nepal suffered their first defeat in the final itself. Men's team India has also reached the finals, facing Nepal.

India started with the chase The final of the Women's Kho-Kho World Cup started at 6 pm on Sunday. Nepal won the toss and chose to defend. India dominated the first innings and scored 34 points. In the second innings, Nepal chased down 24 points, India also got a point in this turn. After half time, India maintained the lead with a margin of 35-24.

In the fourth and last innings, Nepal managed to score only 16 points, while India scored 5 points. India conceded only 16 points to Nepal in the fourth innings.

Unbeaten among 19 teams 19 teams participated in the women's group. Indian women were in Group A along with Iran, Malaysia and South Korea. The team defeated South Korea 176-18, Iran 100-16 and Malaysia 100-20. The team topped the group stage and made it to the quarter finals.

India defeated Bangladesh by a margin of 109-16 in the quarter finals. In the semi-final, he won the match against South Africa by 66-16. In the final too, Indian women dominated and the team won the match by a margin of 78-40. Nepal was the only team in the entire tournament whose margin of defeat against India was less than 50 points.

India's group includes Peru, Brazil, Bhutan and Nepal. The team defeated Nepal 42-37, Brazil 66-34, Peru 70-38 and Bhutan 71-34. In the quarter-finals, India won against Sri Lanka by a margin of 100-40. At the same time, the team defeated South Africa 62-42 in the semi-finals.
