England batsman Joe Root once again ranked the ICC Test batting rankings. Root scored a brilliant 104 and 40 in the third Test against India at the Lord, which led to England by 22 runs and the route returned to the No.1 rank with 888 rating points.
Root left Harry Brook (862 points) of England. The route in the Test became number-1 for the eighth time and at the age of 34 he is the oldest number-1 batsman after Kumar Sangakkara. From India, Yashwashi Jaiswal and Rishabh Pant have lost one place while captain Shubhman Gill has lost 3 places. Jasprit Bumrah remains unchanged in the bowling rankings.
Steve IV and Williamson Second
Australia's Steve Smith has also jumped one place after scoring 48 in the Jamaica Test against the West Indies and is now fourth with 816 points. His colleague Cameron Green also recorded a huge upward 16th place after scoring 46 and 42 runs and reached 29th position (619 points).
New Zealand Ken Williamson has moved in the rankings. He is now in second place. While Harry Brook has slipped in third place.
Bolande achieved the best ranking of career
Speaking of the bowlers, Scott Boland won the best 6th rankings of his career, taking 6 wickets, including a hat -trick in the Jamaica Test. He has taken 62 wickets at an average of just 16.53 so far.
Australian bowlers' pressure remains unchanged
The Australian bowlers maintain dominance in the rankings, with Pet Cummins (third), Josh Hazelwood (fourth) and Nathan Leone (eighth) all in the top 10. Australia currently holds five bowlers in the top 10, the largest in 1958, the top 12 bowlers in England since the team dominated by the team.
Washington moved 12 place
From the West Indies, Shamer Joseph climbed 15 places to the 14th place, Justin Greens climbed 15 places to 65th place and Alzhari Joseph rose to two places. From India, Washington has jumped 12 places in the beautiful Lord's Test and reached 46th position.
Jadeja Top All -rounder
Ravindra Jadeja, who batted in the second innings of the Lord's Test, remains unchanged in the top all -rounder. Australian captain Pet Cummins has taken advantage of one place. He has reached fourth place.
Binura Fernando above 22
There have also been some changes in the T20 rankings, where Sri Lanka's Nuwan Tushara and Bangladesh's Rishad Hussein have reached 16th and 17th place with the benefit of 9 and 12 places respectively. Sri Lanka's Benura Fernando has entered the top-50 for the first time with a gain of 22 places.
Dasun Shanka has come up at eight places in the T20 all -rounder rankings, while Zimbabwe's Alexander Raza has come to sixth place after scoring 54* runs against South Africa.
