Adani International School hosted the International Schools Sports Organization (ISSO) Swimming Regional Championship on Saturday, where the World Cup Winning former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev was present and inaugurated the event. Adani International School became the first institution of Gujarat, which organized an ISSO Regional event. Of the seven international schools in Gujarat, 115 young swimmers of the U9 and U11 category participated.
Adani International School won a total of 106 medals at the ISSO Regional event on Saturday, including 19 Gold (Individual), 36 Gold (Relay), 22 Silver (Personal), 8 Silver (Relay), and 21 Bronze (Personal) Medal, and overall champions with a total of 284 points.
Kapil Dev said, “I enjoyed being part of the inauguration of the Isso Swimming Regional Championship at Adani International School. The sports facilities here are wonderful and it was a pleasure to see the way the school is trying to develop a strong sports culture in the city. Such efforts will help raise future champions in India. '
