Karnataka State Cricket Association Secretary-Co-chairman resigns: Bengaluru took moral responsibility for a rush of case, 11 people were killed in an accident

Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jayaram have resigned. Both have taken the moral responsibility of the run -up to the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) winning celebrity.

Shankar and Jayaram said in a joint statement: “Due to the unexpected and unfortunate events that have happened in the last two days, we want to state that we have resigned from our relevant positions as KSCA Secretary and Treasurer. However, our role was very limited. '

Three days ago, on June 7, 11 people were killed in a run -up during the RCB Navinning Celebrity in Bengaluru.

KSCA said- The responsibility of handling the crowd was an event management company The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered the arrest of officers after filing an FIR against KSCA, RCB and DNA Entertainment Network. Karnataka State Cricket Association President Raghuram Bhat, Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jayaram demanded the cancellation of the FIR against him in the Bhagadod case. On this, the Karnataka High Court relieved KSCA officials from arresting KSCA officials till the next hearing on June 16.

KSCA said in a petition filed earlier in the High Court that it was the responsibility of RCB and event management company to manage the crowd at the gate outside Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Sent RCB's marketing head to 14 -day judicial custody On Friday, four officers of the RCB and event management company were also arrested on Friday. The court has sent them all to 14 days of judicial custody.

  • Bengaluru police have arrested RCB's senior marketing head Nikhil Sosale and three officers of the event management company – Kiran, Sumant and Sunil Matthew.
  • RCB's marketing head Nikhil was arrested at Bengaluru Airport on the way to Dubai. He has challenged his arrest in the High Court. His petition will be heard on Monday.
  • IPS officer Simant Kumar took over as a Bengaluru city police commissioner.
  • Bengaluru police have arrested 4 officers of RCB and event management company. All have been sent to 14 days of judicial custody.
  • Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jayaram have resigned from their position.
