Won 22 wins under Pandit's coaching
Under the coaching of Chandrakant Pandit, KKR won 22 out of 42 matches in the 3 season, 18 defeated and 2 matches. However, the team's performance was weak in the 2025 season and KKR was eighth with just 5 wins in 14 matches. Currently, KKR has not announced the name of the new main coach.
In August 2022, Chandrakant Pandit was appointed as KKR's main coach. In his first season, the team's performance was bad and the team finished seventh, but in 2024 the team won the IPL trophy for the third time.
Pandit's controversial term
There was a lot of controversy over Chandrakant Pandit's coaching style. Some foreign players described him as very strict and millitants. During the IPL 2025 there were reports that he inquired about eating out a foreign player, who went with the opposing team players.
Bharat Arun was also out of the team
According to the Times of India report, KKR has also removed the bowling coach Bharat Arun. According to reports, Bharat Arun can now join the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), though this has not been confirmed by CSK.
Bharat Arun was appointed as the bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders in January 2022.
