Kolkata: The RPSG Group, owned by the IPL franchise Lucknow Super Giants, has bought 70% of the Hundred team Manchester Originals from Lancashire Cricket Club in England. Lancashire is a company owned by Manchester Originals.
The RPSG group officially announced the deal on Friday. Accordingly, England’s Lancashire Cricket Club will have a 30% stake in the team. Group Chairman Sanjeev Goenka said: ‘We honor Lancashire’s inheritance. We are committed to building a special relationship with our players, support teams and community. We believe in excellence. We see immense potential for quality cricket for the next generations. ‘
