Melbourne Test: Father gets emotional after Nitish’s century

India has made a comeback in the fourth Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy being played in Melbourne. India was in danger of a follow-on on the third day of the match, but Nitish Reddy and Washington Sundar’s partnership saved the team from this danger.

On the third day, Nitish gave the team many moments of celebration. When he reached fifty, he celebrated in Pushpa style. When he completed his century, fans named his celebration Baahubali Celebration. Reddy’s father Mutyala Reddy, who was present in the stadium, cried with joy.

Washington Sundar also met with fate. His catch was dropped by Steve Smith. Earlier when Rishabh Pant got out, Sunil Gavaskar criticized his shot.

Nitish celebrated in Baahubali style by placing the bat on the field and hanging his helmet on it.

Nitish celebrated fifty in Pushpa style: After lunch on the third day of the Melbourne Test, Nitish Reddy completed his half-century. He completed his 50 off 81 balls. After completing 50 runs, Nitish celebrated in the style of Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa, the video of which is going viral on social media.

Starc changes bails, Jadeja out in next over: Fast bowler Mitchell Starc came to bowl the 64th over of the Indian innings. He bowled the last ball of the over to Ravindra Jadeja, on which Jadeja failed to score any runs. The umpire then returned his cap to Starc, who then replaced the bail on the stumps. At that time Nitish Kumar Reddy was present at the non-striker end.

After this, off-spinner Nathan Lyon from Australia brought the 65th over of Team India’s innings. Nitish did not score a single run on two balls of his over. 1 run taken on the third ball. Jadeja was on strike after this. This was Jadeja’s second delivery after Starc changed the bails, on which he was dismissed LBW.

Ravindra Jadeja was dismissed by Nathan Lion. He scored 17 runs off 51 balls.

Smith drops Sundar’s catch In the 81st over, Steve Smith lost the catch to Washington Sundar. Sundar tried to flick the ball outside the leg stump, but went to second slip with the edge ringing. Smith dived, but couldn’t catch it. This was the first over after taking the new ball, which was being bowled by Mitchell Starc. After this, Sundar played an innings of 50 runs.

Pant was dismissed trying to play a scoop shot: India lost their sixth wicket in the 56th over. Here Rishabh Pant got out after scoring 28 runs. He was caught out by Scott Boland off Nathan Lyon. Pant looked to play a scoop shot, but the ball went to the deep-third fielder, Lyon took the catch without making a mistake.

India have made a comeback against Australia in the fourth match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy thanks to Nitish Reddy’s century. At one point the team was threatened with follow-on. Currently the team is behind by 116 runs. India scored 358 runs for 9 wickets in the first innings till stumps on the third day. Nitish Reddy is unbeaten on 105 and Mohammad Siraj scored 2 runs.
