Neeraj will throw a javelin in the Doha Diamond League today: 3 other Indians will also participate; Indian Players will take to the game from 10pm

India's star Javelin Throw Neeraj Chopra will lead an Indian team in the Diamond League in Doha today. Apart from Neeraj, three other Indian athletes will also participate in the competition. This is the largest number of participants from India in any Diamond League competition. Indian players will take to the game from 10pm.

Neeraj Kishore, who won the title here in 2022 and second in 2024 (88.36 m) with whom will participate in the men's jewelin event. Jenny also participated in the competition in 2024 and finished ninth with a throw of 76.31 meters.

Neeraj Chopra finished second in the 2024 Diamond League final. He threw the best throw of 87.86 meters in the third attempt but remained 0.01 meters away from becoming a champion. Granada's Anderson Peters took first place with the best throw of 87.87 meters in their first attempt.

Indians in the Doha Diamond League 2025

  • Neeraj Chopra: Double Olympic Medal winner Neeraj Chopra will attend the Javelin event.
  • Kishore Jenny: The next day, he is participating in the competition. He was 9th last time.
  • Gulvir Singh: The national record is broken. He will make a debut in the Diamond League in the men's 5000 meter race.
  • Parul Chowdhury: Women participated in 3000 meter steepchase. He is the national record holder at this event.

In addition to Peters, the defending champion includes Jacub Wadlech (Czech Republic), Julian Weber (Germany), Max Dehnning (Germany), Julius Yeggo (Kinyar) and Rodic Ganky Dean (Japan).

When and where can we see it? Doha Diamond League 2025 can be viewed by live streaming on the Diamond League YouTube channel and Facebook page in India. The Javelin Throw Event will start at 10:13 pm, the men's 5000 meter run will start at 10:15 pm, while the 3000 meter steepchase competition of women will start at 11:15 pm.

Top 8 players get points in each event; The first player gets 8 points and one pointer to the 8th. The points of all players are considered after 13 events. Players who have top-10 positions qualify for the Diamond League final. The winning player gets the Diamond League winner's trophy and cash prize.
