'O Jasprit, Mara Bhai'… Bumrah arrives at Coldplay: Stadium erupts as Chris Martin sings special song, singer says – Best bowler in cricket world

Indian cricket team's fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah participated in Coldplay's concert in Ahmedabad on January 26. Bumrah, who was out of the team due to a back injury, was seen having a lot of fun at the concert. When Coldplay's lead singer Chris Martin called out Bumrah's name in the audience, the excitement of the fans was palpable. The British band also sang a few lines for the Indian fast bowler. His video is also going viral on social media.

Sung a special song for Bumrah

The British band gave a warm welcome to the Indian fast bowler at the concert and sang a few lines for him. The band joked that we don't like it when you take one England wicket after another. At a Coldplay concert their lead singer sang, O Jasprit Bumrah, my brother. The best bowler in the cricket world. We don't enjoy watching your wicket after wicket against England.

Singer showed Bumrah's autographed jersey on stage

Coldplay displayed his signed Test jersey on stage in Bumrah's honor in Ahmedabad. This is not the first time that Coldplay has mentioned Bumrah at their concerts in India. Earlier during the Mumbai show, the band played a video of Bumrah against England's batting line-up in the 2024 Test series.

Bumrah's name was also shouted in Mumbai

On the same show, Chris Martin joked that the band had received a legal notice from Bumrah's lawyers for using Bumrah's name during the concert. While reading the fictitious letter, Martin said, 'I am very sorry, but I want to read the letter from Jasprit Bumrah's lawyer. I have to do this, because otherwise we might get jailed and we won't be able to perform in Ahmedabad.

After he made several other references during the show, Bumrah himself finally arrived at the concert. The January 26 show was streamed live on Hotstar. Indian cricket fans jumped for joy watching Bumrah live on TV. Bumrah also enjoyed the concert and the atmosphere of the Narendra Modi Stadium filled with fans.

Gujarat Minister Harsh Sanghvi has shared this picture of Narendra Modi Stadium during the concert.

Firecrackers were also burst in the stadium during the show.
